Why Music

Why Music?

I am writing this blog in 2014 to enlighten, equip, challenge and provoke the body of Christ to another place of awareness when it relates to music.  Musical instruments are first mentioned in the Bible in Genesis 4:21 where we read the following:

Genesis 4:21
21 And his brother's name was Jubal: he was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ .
KJV

Jubal was a descendant of Cain and was of a wicked line of people who eventually offered babies a sacrifice and did all types of ungodly things to music.  Music is first mention as being present when God created the heaven and the earth.  In Job 38:7 it says the morning stars sang together.  God created to the sound of music.  We must understand what music does in light of this revelation.  Music plants a thing in the mind without our permission.  You can plant an idea, product, ideology, concept in the human mind without permission if you place the idea to music.

God built us in such a way that music moves us, motivates us and unites us.  Lucifer knew this as well and he wanted music in the hands of his subjects in Genesis 4:21.  Lucifer knew that if he had a plan to pull as many away from God as possible he would have to plant another idea in their minds without their permission.   This scheme has been working for many years and we can see it working against the angels too.  In Revelation 12 and verses three and four say:

Revelation 12:3 - 4
And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

The word for "tail" in verse four would be better translated baton like the conductors baton for an orchestra.  Satan convinced one third of the angels to turn away from God by the sound that was coming from him.  When you read Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28:14-19 you get to see who the beauty with which Satan operated was the cause for many turning away from God.

The instrument of choice for Satan is music because he knows what many of us do not know.  When people sit and listen to music they do not realize the class they have just signed up for.  Every song is a lesson from the heart of some spiritual source.  Every song you hear has its roots in the Kingdom of God or the fallen world system.  Every song you hear is carrying a kings message to his subjects.  We cannot afford to think it is just a song.  The heart of the sender matters!  If you hear the song passively or actively it will stick in your mind.  We hear songs walking through the grocery store and they come back to us later because music does not need my permission to invade my mind.  Knowing this should make us be more aware of the message we are allowing in our thought life through the cunning way of Satan and the powers of darkness.

When the worship leaders of the body of Christ listen to the fallen messages of Satan and declare them okay a huge mistake is made.  The message of Satan will always lead people away from God and toward themselves.  Every song in darkness will highlight relationships between humans.  The songs will never appeal to the spirit of man which needs a relationship with God.  We must recover ourselves and during this year I plan to share the revelatory insights God has given me on music.  I pray you will be blessed by them and will tell others to read them.  We need worshippers who have a heart to hear the message of our King and then share it through song.  We need worship leaders who unplug from the sound of darkness and get inspired by their relationship with God.  I am praying for the worship leaders all over the world and hope you will join me.  Our local churches are in trouble if the sound in our house cannot really be distinguished in the heavens from the sound of darkness.  If our hearts are perverted by Satan and his sound, so will our worship.  Please pray for me as this is a tough subject with Christians but it must be shared.

Be Blessed
